Collabotation Sneaker For Charity

John Lofgren Bootmaker × Papa Nui Cap Co. × The Rite Stuff

In March 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami struck the Tohoku region with unimaginable force. Entire communities were lost in moments. Our company, headquartered in Sendai, was located very near the epicenter. At that time, our young brand had only recently begun, and the disaster nearly brought everything to an end.

Yet the people of Tohoku are resilient. With the support of friends, customers, and partners around the world, we slowly rebuilt and continued forward.

Now, 15 years later, we mark that anniversary with a special collaboration between John Lofgren Bootmaker, Papa Nui Cap Co., and The Rite Stuff. This sneaker represents not only craftsmanship and friendship between brands, but also remembrance and gratitude.

To honor the occasion, $15 from every pair sold will be donated to the Hatachi Fund, a charity created to support children who lost parents or guardians in the disaster. The fund assists these children until they reach adulthood. In Japanese, “Hatachi” means 20 years old.
